1 River, 2 Barges, FREE GIGS... 9 Bands!
From the 1st to 8th of June, a collection of nine of the hottest up and coming bands and artists take to the river sailing from Camden to Oxford.
Traveling in barges and playing a series of free acoustic riverside shows and free full band shows in venues en-route it will make for a unique new eco-friendly method of touring.
The bands will live, sleep and eat on the barges (beats a tour bus!), and will play free shows at venues along the way.
The bands taking part are:
Mumford and Sons
SixNationState
Nat Jenkins
Jay Jay Pistolet
Beans On Toast
The Golden Silvers
Naked and the Boys
Derek Meins
Ally Wolf
As the sole title sponsor, Seatwave.com will be the online destination for all the latest news and reviews from the tour. As the tour journeys down the Thames, stopping at Henley, Reading and Abingdon, you will be able to follow the antics with video diaries from onboard the boats, daily blogs from the performances, interviews and live footage from the gigs.
Head back to the 'as it happens' blog for all the river rat tails (see what we did there). It'll be whisker twitchin' good.
Keep your eye on www.seatwaveblogs.com and on our YouTube channel for all the latest info.
The River Rat Pack tour is brought to you by Long Live Rock and Roll promotions.
